In 2017, our Hull 10K runners are in for a change of scene! Due to Hull’s fantastic achievement in being crowned 2017 UK City of Culture, a number of improvement works are ongoing in the city.

As a result, there will be a number of changes to the old route. Whilst the first 5km of the run remain unchanged, taking runners along the waterfront and past the iconic Deep, there are some tweaks to second half of the course.

Runners will now have a short two-way section near the Marina, and an extended section at the northern point will see runners once again pass by Hull’s New Theatre – a fantastic point for spectators and charities to cheer on runners.

Another change to the route will see runners pass the Event Village on Queens Gardens at the 7.5km point, as well as a few hundred metres from the finish line. With the charities based here, family activation and entertainment, the atmosphere in this area is set to be electric!
