A team from John A. Stephens Ltd are celebrating after being crowned the first winners of the Asda Foundation Nottingham 10K team challenge.
With the times of the first four team members home counting, John A. Stephens Ltd triumphed in the event’s open category with an average time of 45:46.
A team from Jurys inns Nottingham are celebrating after taking the honours in the mixed category – in which the times of the first two men and first two women across the finish line were added together – in an average time of 51:54.
A great way for friends and colleagues to get together to tackle the event, the team challenge brought an added dimension to the Asda Foundation Nottingham 10K which attracted over 2,500 entrants to the event.
The challenge was chip-timed and, along with prizes for the winners, there were goody bags, medals and finishers’ t-shirts for all those taking part.

Nottingham Forest and England football legend Stuart Pearce was among those to line up for the first Nottingham 10K in May 2016.
After officially starting the race, Stuart joined his partner and a group of friends to take on the 10K course.
He said: "I know the example set by Jane Tomlinson has inspired many people to take on charity challenges of their own."
