WHEN IS THE CLOSING DATE?
5pm on the Thursday before or when the event reaches capacity (whichever is sooner).
HOW WILL I KNOW IF I AM ENTERED?
You will receive a confirmation email – remember to check your spam folders.
CAN I ENTER ON THE DAY?
If entries are available, it will be detailed on the website.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?
You must be 18 years or over on event day to participate in the 26 Mile Walk and 12 years or over on event day to participants in the 16 Mile Walk but there is no minimum age for the 5 Mile Walk. Participants under the age of 18 years on event day must be accompanied by a parent/guardian in the 5 Mile Walk and 16 Mile Walk.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO TAKE PART AS A TEAM?

CAN I CHANGE MY DETAILS?
You will receive a one-week warning email to ensure your details are correct and to update any details if necessary. If you need to change details at any other time, submit a ‘Contact Us’ enquiry form.
I HAVE REGISTERED BUT AM NOW UNABLE TO TAKE PART, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

CAN I GIVE MY EVENT ENTRY TO SOMEONE ELSE?
Transferring of event entries is strictly prohibited for various reasons, the most important of which is the confusion it can cause in the event of an incident or emergency on route with a participant.
CAN I RAISE MONEY FOR A CHARITY OR CAUSE NOT LISTED AS A PARTNER?
Yes. Just contact your chosen charity direct to request a fundraising pack or with any queries.
I HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY FUNDRAISING PACK, WHO SHOULD I CONTACT?
If you requested a fundraising pack, we will share your email address with your chosen charity. They will send any details straight to you, so if you have any questions or queries, then contact your charity direct.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY EVENT PACK AND WHAT WILL IT CONTAIN?
You will receive an email containing essential pre-event information in the weeks leading up to the event.
You will be required to register on the day and collect your event ID on event day from the Race Office prior to starting the event. Any additional items purchased during sign up can also be collected at this time.
MY QUESTION IS ABOUT TRAVEL OR PARKING.

WHAT TIME DOES THE EVENT START?
See start times below. Please arrive in plenty of time to drop of any bags and use the toilet facilities. Remember traffic will be busy so leave extra time.
26 Mile Walk – from 07.30am
16 Mile Walk – from 10.00am
5 Mile Walk – from 10.30am
WHAT ARE THE EVENT COMPLETION TIMES?

26-mile walk – Required completion time 11 hours
16-mile walk – Required completion time 7 hours
5-mile walk – Required completion time 2.5 hours
DO I NEED TO REGISTER ON EVENT DAY?
You will need to collect your event number on event day from the Race Office.

WILL CHANGING FACILITIES BE AVAILABLE?
Unfortunately, changing facilities will not be available.
WHAT DO I RECEIVE AS PART OF MY EVENT ENTRY?
You will be presented with a finisher’s medal once you have completed the event. For information on optional extras, please see the event specific webpage.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE THE WALKS?

WHAT FUEL PROVISION WILL BE AVAILABLE ON ROUTE?
There will be opportunities to refill your own water containers on route. This information will be provided in your pre-event information email and walk guide.
ARE THERE ANY TOILETS ON ROUTE?
We will identify places where toilets are available to use. This information will be provided in your event information pack.
WHAT CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT WILL I NEED TO TAKE PART?

CAN I TAKE PART IN FANCY DRESS?
It is advised that all participants take part in events in suitable walking attire, including waterproof clothing and correct footwear. Any request to take part in fancy dress must be sent via the form on the ‘Contact Us’ page.
CAN I TAKE PART WITH A DOG?
Dogs are permitted on route on the condition they are kept on a short lead at all times and the countryside code relating to dogs is observed. For further information, please click here
Please note that there is a maximum of two dogs per coach on the transport to the start of the 16 Mile route.
I AM A VISUALLY IMPAIRED PARTICPANT. CAN I TAKE PART?
Yes! It is recommended a visually impaired participant takes part with a guide participant. Entry for a guide participants is complimentary. Please submit a ‘Contact Us’ form to advise us you need a free place for a guide participant.
I'M INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING, WHAT IS INVOLVED?
Hundreds of volunteers are needed at each event to ensure the day runs smoothly and everyone has an amazing time. Roles vary from route marshals or supporting in the baggage store. Please refer to our volunteer pages for more information.
