Charlton Morris take on the challenge in Leeds

"It's a given that a healthy workplace is a productive one. At Charlton Morris one of our core benefits is employee well-being, and therefore having a physical, but achievable event like the Leeds 10K on our doorstep represents a great opportunity for everyone in the business to work towards something"

The recent sunny days have got us thinking about what we have got to look forward to this summer, including one of the highlight's on the regions running calendar.... Leeds 10K Clarion Corporate Challenge!

We are delighted to have multiple new teams on board for what promises to be another fantastic event this year. One of our newest recruits are Charlton Morris; after entering a 49 strong team into the event, they are currently standing as our largest team at the Corporate Challenge in 2018.

Kris Holland, Marketing manager at Charlton Morris has been telling us why the team are looking forward to the 2018 Clarion Corporate Challenge.

"This year, Charlton Morris’ Leeds office are running the Leeds 10k. With 49 people taking part, it will be our biggest ever event as a company, and we’re really looking forward to taking part.

For us, there are a number of benefits to taking part in this event. The first, and probably most important for us, is to contribute to our CSR efforts. This year, we’re raising money for OPERA Global Youth Foundation, a charity that is working towards ending youth unemployment globally. We’re partnering with them for the whole of 2018 and hope that our participation in this event will help us take a chunk out of our fundraising target!

Aside from this, it’s a given that a healthy workplace is a productive one. At Charlton Morris one of our core benefits is employee well being, and therefore having a physical, but achievable event like the Leeds 10K on our doorstep represents a great opportunity for everyone in the business to work towards something. The healthy competition between our internal teams will certainly help us with team building too, and we’re certainly hoping we do well in the team competition!

Our MD, Andy Shatwell said: “We’re really pleased to be taking such a large team to participate in the Leeds 10K this year. Everyone in the business is looking forward to the run and already training hard ; I’m sure it will be a great event which will be followed by some well-deserved celebrations afterwards!”
