It’s party time and you’re invited. The fabulous York 10K celebrates its 10th anniversary on Sunday 5th August and if that’s not reason enough to enter then here – appropriately enough – are 10 more!
Taking part in an event is a great way to meet new, like-minded people who’ll offer great encouragement to help you achieve your running goals.
Test yourself and discover levels of determination you never knew you had.
Having an event to train for will provide all the motivation you need to get out and boost your fitness.
Unlike the many little creatures around this time of year, running is a bug well worth getting bitten by. Once you’ve experienced the fun, friendliness and fantastic atmosphere of the York 10K, you’ll be hooked.
York’s largely flat and fast course provides a great opportunity to smash your pb.
Take in some of the York’s historic gems including the ancient city walls, Clifford’s Tower and magnificent minster.
Tackling the 10K is a wonderful way to raise funds for your favourite charity. Fancy dress is optional.
We know it’s not about the bling, but receiving a medal to recognise your achievement is a memorable part of the day. You can even have it engraved for free.
Look forward to the “I did it” moment when you are cheered across the finish line.
York has a great choice of pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants so you’ll have no problem in finding somewhere to toast your achievement.
