I'm Stephen Bromby, I've loved being part of the Eventeer Team and this is why I look forward to signing up every year.
It’s great to feel a part of the Run For All team - especially when you know that you're playing such a vital role in helping people accomplish inspirational achievements. There's always a great atmosphere at the events which makes it really easy to meet new people and work together.
I'm always amazed by the effort that members of the public go to in order to complete their run. To see the look of joy on people's faces as they cross the line is a tremendous feeling.
Sharing that moment and sense of achievement is very special - whether they've been running for a personal best, to raise money for a worthwhile cause or just simply to make it round the course.
Prior to volunteering with the Asda Foundation 10k Series I had never run. I would have done anything to avoid sports!
After enjoying the atmosphere at the Asda Foundation Lincoln 10K, I downloaded a Couch to 5k app to see what the big deal was about.
I quickly discovered that running wasn't as bad as the compulsory cross country runs we were all forced to do at school. I caught the running bug. Now I cant't get enough of the sport. I love how it makes me feel so fresh and healthy on the inside and out.
This year I will be attempting my first ever timed run at King's Lynn’s Asda Foundation GEAR 10K. I know I won't be breaking any records - but I don’t care. I'm just aiming to enjoy every step I take toward that finish line.
I have been an enthusiastic supporter of the Asda Foundation 10k Series in the East Midlands for a few years now and can safely say that there’s nothing like volunteering at the finish line.
Whether you’re on the water station or handing out goody bags, you wouldn’t believe how grateful everyone is for you just being there.
I never quite understand it when I give someone a bottle of water and people say ‘you’re a legend’ – I mean they’re the ones that have just accomplished something special by finishing their 10K. It's bonkers!
Whether its with me at the City of Lincoln 10K, or somewhere else, come and join the Eventeer Team.
It’s a really rewarding feeling to know that you’ve helped be a part of an event that has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for local and national charities.
If that’s not enough - the buzz of the whole day and the gratitude we receive from the runners makes it even more worthwhile!
