Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All is one of the UK’s biggest not-for-profit sports event companies, staging events including the Asda Foundation Leeds 10K and York 10K, Leeds Half Marathon and The Yorkshire Marathon.
Run For All is now looking for an experienced and creative Digital Marketing Executive, with a genuine passion for sport and events, to join its expanding Leeds-based Marketing and PR team.
As Digital Marketing Executive you will develop and implement the digital marketing strategy. You will manage and develop Run For All’s social media channels – creating engaging content - and take the lead on delivering and analysing direct marketing email campaigns.
You will also manage and monitor Run For All’s website and online content and be experienced in SEO. You will also be familiar with digital and social media advertising and be able to identify and progress opportunities for Run For All to further its reach online. You will also play a crucial part in the development of future digital projects and manage the organisation’s online registration system.
In addition, you will contribute to the overall marketing strategy so you should also have some experience in offline and the traditional marketing mix.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be a lively, dynamic and results-focused professional, bursting with fresh ideas. To succeed in this role, you must have a genuine enthusiasm for mass-participation events and have a real understanding of the ‘runner experience’. You will also possess excellent communication skills and be proficient across the full range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point and Excel. Knowledge of HTML and database management would be an advantage.

Digital Marketing Executive

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £22k to £25k, dependent on experience
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Internal: CEO, Head of Marketing and PR, Marketing Manager, Sponsorships and Corporate Manager, Marketing Assistant, Press Officer, and Events and Admin Team.
External: Creative agency, Digital/SEO agency, general public, charities, sponsors, suppliers and contractors.
You will be educated to degree level. Ideally you will be a graduate in digital marketing or have equivalent experience.
You will have at least two years of marketing experience, ideally within in a similar industry. You will have a detailed understanding of digital marketing and social media and knowledge of a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts.
You will be fully conversant with the full range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office, Power Point, Word and Excel. HTML and database experience would be an advantage.
Organisational Skills – Excellent organisational skills are essential. You will contribute to and implement the marketing strategy to ensure all marketing and promotional avenues are exploited
Creative Thinking – You will understand the requirements of the organisation and use creative processes and ideas to deliver effective marketing programmes and campaigns
Team Working – You will build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external contractors, collaborate and co-operate with other team members to get the job done, valuing their input and knowledge and building trust and respect
Driving Licence – You will possess a full driving licence and your own car
Availability – You will be flexible to meet the demands of the business. This role will naturally involve out of hours and weekend working, especially during the main events season
