I am a 43 year old primary school teacher with 4 children and a passion for running. I run for Shepshed running club, and have completed races from 1 mile to 69 miles!
I have completed several marathons in under 3 hours, and numerous 10k's with a PB of 36:24. I particularly enjoy pacing others to achieve their goals, and enjoy helping people to see the benefits of running at a consistent pace.
I hope to help many runners hit their personal targets on the day of the race.
I took up running seriously after representing my county at the English schools cross country championships at the age of 15. It didn't take much encouragement to join my local running club Notts AC which helped me further into National league competition.
After a lot of hard work I began to gain honours representing the Midlands and Scotland at International level at 3000m steeplechase and cross country which eventually lead to being selected to represent Great Britain and to train as part of the Great British endurance squad at altitude in Font Romeu, France.
My biggest achievements are winning silver in the UK champs and world trials.
I’m Dan and have been running approx. 4 years now. I’m currently a member of Redhill Roadrunners in Nottingham. I have recently achieved 50 Parkruns, ran a number of half marathons with a PB of 89 mins, ran London and the Liverpool marathons this year and completed them both in 3hrs 24 mins, I’ve also entered my first Ultra marathon of 40 miles in July (see how I get on with that!), so I have covered all the distances at various paces. I’m always happy to chat whilst running, give advice and love to hear everyone else’s running stories or achievements so please feel free to do just that on race day and we’ll get through it together!
Hi my name is Garry, I'm a 52 year old mad Liverpool fan from Milton Keynes - known as "Gaz or Gazza"
I started running late in life in August 2011 after being challenged to run a marathon under 4 hours?! I joined my local running club David Lloyd Redway Runners and trained really hard to run my first marathon at Milton Keynes in the spring 2012, finishing in 3.44.14 I fell in love with running having made many friends along my journey and decided I wanted to continue running to improve on my times and maintain my fitness.
Joined my current club Ampthill & Flitwick Flyers RC in 2014.Got into pacing after a few years and really enjoyed helping others whilst taking the pressure of me 'chasing PB's' every time I raced! Paced lots of times at local park runs/club runs before feeling experienced & confident enough to step up to be an official pacer for several organisers.
Paced many events for a few years before easing off to concentrate on helping train/pace my Wife Rose for her first marathon in Rome.
I've run 9 marathons to date;
Addicted to park runs and I'm currently on 97 in total with 49 as an 'On Tour Tourist' Decided to restart my pacing again this spring and to date have paced
With the following all confirmed ✅ I am an experienced pacer who likes to run even splits depending on the course profile. If the course is undulating I will run a few secs per mile faster on the flat parts to allow us to ease up the hill so I do not lose/demotivate anyone. I'm fully approachable and easy to get on with. I am vocal and enjoy encouraging and motivating my group and will explain before & during the run the pace we are aiming for and current pace/finish time.If you are looking to get under 55 mins please come and join me and allow me to help you enjoy your run, whilst giving you the best opportunity to attain the the time you desire.
Look forward to helping you all
I will be your 60 minute pacer for Leicester 10km.
I first got a passion for running in 2013 when I signed up and gave myself a challenge to complete a obstacle race, then after reading chrissie wellingtons book I was inspired to take on a sprint triathlon and since then I have never looked back, completing more obstacle races, 10kms & 5km , two half marathons and this year my goal is the full Robin Hood marathon and I plan to run it in my post office uniform for charity.
I am studying PT in my spare time and have completed numerous nutritional courses to feed my passion for health and fitness and help others. Please feel free to chat and ask me any questions and let me help and guide you to a sub 60 minute 10km .
Remember to enjoy and smile for the support and cameras but never ever give up.
Hi I’m your 65 minute pacer for Leicester 10K. I’ve been running since 2009. My current club is Harlow Running Club. I am currently working towards the 100 Marathon club.
I used to race for times, now run to try and inspire my two daughters. Love pacing, it is very satisfying to help people reach their targets.
See you all soon flag and all!
Hi, my name is Susan and I have been running for nearly 6 years. When I first started running I couldn't run a mile without stopping for what seemed like 20 times but since then I have completed 5 half marathons with a new PB each time and many 10k races.
I have also completed over 50 park runs mainly at Conkers which I do with my husband and our 2 year old son, we both really enjoy this and it definitely puts the fun factor into running!
I am really looking forward to pacing a sub 1hr10 at the Nottingham and Leicester 10k, please look out for me and I will help and encourage you all the way throughout the run.
