The Arena Group Bury Mini and Junior Run is a great way to get active this year!
Please see the distances on offer below.
Event | Distance | Age |
Mini | 1.5KM | Age between 3 & 8. All children must run with a parent or guardian. |
Junior | 2.5KM | Ages between 9 & 15 |
Part of the Bury Running Festival and run in partnership with Bury Council, the Bury Mini and Junior is open to runners aged three and up, of all backgrounds and abilities, and is a fantastic day out for all the family.
We encourage children of all backgrounds and abilities to take part in the Fun Run, including those with disabilities and any other special considerations. Please get in touch so we can help you and them have the best experience.
All finishers will be rewarded with a goody bag and that all-important medal to show off to friends!
Important entry information.
Registering a young runner aged between 3 and 8 years old:
- The adult running must put another adults emergency contact details when asked during the registration process. Please do not enter your own information here.
Registering a young runner aged between 9 and 15 years old:
- Entries must be completed by a parent/guardian aged 18 years or over on behalf of the child.
- The adult must log in to their own account when registering their child. If you do not have an account, you can create one.
Race Information

Collecting your race number is the main thing to remember ahead of the big event. You can do this at our race office. Race office opening times will be announced closer to event day.
Please bring safety pins with you as your race number will need to be attached to your t-shirt.

A number of car parks are located close to the event village:
Castle Leisure Centre
The Rock
Millgate Shopping Centre
The Market
Knowsley PlacePlease visit here for car park details including parking charges and ensure that you have planned your journey and where you will park in advance.
Please be aware that Parsons Lane Car Park will be hosting the event village and will therefore be closed on both Saturday and Sunday of event weekend. Please also avoid parking in private car parks with customer and time restrictions.

Runners should arrive ready to run as there is no baggage store for the Fun Run, so please leave your bag and extra clothes with your family and friends who will be cheering you on.
All runners are required to assemble at The Rock for a warm up before being led to the start of their race.

I’m sure lots of fans are coming to support you! Please get them to head to the start/finish line so they can see you zoom past them and collect your finishers medal.

Are you race ready? There isn’t a baggage store for Fun Run run so please leave your bag and extra clothes with your family and friends who will be cheering you on.

To help you feel ready and raring to go, we will be offering a fun warm-up

After you fly across the finish line, don’t forget to collect your goodies including that all important medal. Running is thirsty work, so grab a free bottle of water too.
You will be directed to the collection point by our team of friendly volunteers where you’ll be able to meet back up with your parents and guardians. This is where you can show everyone your brand new, shiny medal!

Please remember to pace yourself but, most importantly, enjoy your run! There will be a team of photographers on course who will want to see some of your cheesiest smiles. You’ll get your personal photos emailed to you to purchase from marathonphotos.com the following week.
