Festival overview

Getting there

Settle is easily accessible by rail and road.

 By rail

The Yorkshire Dales Festival event is easily reached by rail with two train stations, Giggleswick and Settle, in close proximity to Settle Market Place.

Trains regularly arrive from destinations all over the North and what’s more, your train fee will benefit the Jane Tomlinson Appeal too. Northern Rail has generously teamed up with us to offer participants 300 return tickets, with a portion of profits from these tickets going straight to the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.

Northern Rail is also scheduling extra trains and carriages to get walkers to and from the event, with trains calling at various stations on route.

 By road

Event car parking is available at Settle Football Club and we would suggest that walkers plan to car share wherever possible.

For those people intending to undertake the Malham Tarn Walk & Wheel car parking will be available in Malham, therefore participants will have to make their way to the designated parking in Malham village, unless instructed otherwise. Special arrangements can be made in advance by contacting the Yorkshire Dales Festival team info@runforall.com

 16-mile trail-run participants

All 16-mile trail-run participants will be transported from North Ribblesdale Rugby Club to Ribblehead Viaduct via coach, these coaches will be parked in Lower Greenfoot Car Park (next to North Ribblesdale Rugby Club). Please note that there is no parking available at Ribblehead.
