  • HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ENTER?

  • WHEN IS THE CLOSING DATE?

    5pm on the Thursday before or when the event reaches capacity (whichever is sooner).

  • THE EVENT IS SOLD OUT, HOW CAN I GET A PLACE?

    Contact one of the event partner charities if the event has sold out. 

  • HOW WILL I KNOW IF I AM ENTERED?

    You will also receive a confirmation email – remember to check your spam folders.

  • CAN I ENTER ON THE DAY?

    If entries are available, it will be detailed on the website.

  • IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

    You must be 18 years or over on event day to participant in the 16 Mile Trail Run and 15 years or over on event day to participants in the 5 Mile Trail Run.

  • IS IT POSSIBLE TO TAKE PART AS A TEAM?

    Please use the ‘Contact Us’ form to find out about group discounts.

  • CAN I CHANGE MY DETAILS?

    You will receive a one-week warning email to ensure your details are correct and to update any details if necessary. If you need to change details at any other time, submit a ‘Contact Us’ enquiry form.

  • I HAVE REGISTERED BUT AM NOW UNABLE TO TAKE PART, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

    Please click here to refer to the event terms and conditions, which were accepted at the point of entry.

  • CAN I GIVE MY RUNNER NUMBER TO SOMEONE ELSE?

    Transferring of runner numbers is not permitted. Runners using someone else’s number will be disqualified and will not receive a time. The original entrant will be reported to UK Athletics who may take further action. Number-swapping is strictly prohibited for various reasons, the most important of which is the confusion it can cause in the event of an incident or emergency on route.

  • CAN I RAISE MONEY FOR A CHARITY OR CAUSE NOT LISTED AS A PARTNER?

    Yes. Just contact your chosen charity direct to request a fundraising pack or with any queries.

  • I HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY FUNDRAISING PACK, WHO SHOULD I CONTACT?

    If you requested a fundraising pack, we will share your email address with your chosen charity. They will send any details straight to you, so if you have any questions or queries, then contact your charity direct.

  • WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY EVENT PACK AND WHAT WILL IT CONTAIN?

    You will receive an email containing essential pre-event information in the weeks leading up to the event.

    You will be required to register on the day and collect your runner number on event day from the Race Office prior to starting the event. Any additional items purchased during sign, can also be collected at this time.

  • MY QUESTION IS ABOUT TRAVEL OR PARKING

    Please refer to the ‘Getting there’ page for the specific event. Here you will find information on car parks, road closures and accommodation.

  • WHAT TIME DOES THE RACE START?

    See start times below. Please arrive in plenty of time to drop of any bags and use the toilet facilities. Remember traffic will be busy so leave extra time. 

    16 Mile Trail at 9.30am*

    5 Mile Trail at 10.00am

    *Buses to transport participants of 16 Mile event from Registration at North Ribblesdale Rugby Club to the Start at Ribbledale Viaduct will be leaving at 8.30 prompt.

  • DO I NEED TO REGISTER ON EVENT DAY?

    You will need to collect your runner number on event day from the Race Office.

    Please see Registration Opening times below:

    16 Mile Registration – 07.30am – 08.15am

    5 Mile Registration – 08.30am – 09.30am

  • WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY OFFICIAL TIME?

    You'll will receive an email and a full list of results will be on our website.

  • WILL CHANGING FACILITIES BE AVAILABLE?

    Unfortunately, we are unable to provide changing facilities.

  • WHAT DO I RECEIVE ONCE I HAVE FINISHED THE RACE?

    You will be presented with a finisher’s medal once you have completed the event. For information on optional extras, please see the event specific webpage.

  • WHAT FUEL PROVISION WILL BE AVAILABLE ON ROUTE?

    There will be welfare stations on route where there will opportunities to refill water containers. This information will be provided in your event information pack.

  • ARE THERE ANY TOILETS ON ROUTE?

    We will identify places where toilets are available to use. This information will be provided in your event information pack.

  • WHAT CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT WILL I NEED TO TAKE PART?

    Please find below a list of both mandatory and recommended clothing and equipment for the Trail events:

    Mandatory Clothing & Equipment

    • Suitable walking attire including waterproof clothing
    • Appropriate footwear which has been worn in
    • Refillable water container
    • Fuel
    • OS OL2 Map (It is recommended that walkers familiarise themselves with the route and mark the route onto the OS map in advance of the event to use alongside the walk guide, available for purchase on entry)
    • Compass

    Recommended Clothing & Requirement

    • Waterproof map carrier
    • Whistle
    • Foil blanket
    • First Aid Kit
    • Sun cream

    A list of recommended equipment will be detailed in the pre-event information.

  • CAN I TAKE PART IN FANCY DRESS?

    It is advised that all participants take part in events in suitable trail running attire, including waterproof clothing and correct footwear. Any request to take part in fancy dress must be sent via the form on the ‘Contact Us’ page.

  • CAN I TAKE PART ON A BIKE, ROLLER SKATES OR SOMETHING SIMILAR?

    No, participation must be on foot unless you are a registered wheelchair entrant. See below questions regarding specific access requirements.

  • CAN I RUN WITH A CHILD IN A PUSHCHAIR/RUNNING BUGGY/SLING?

    No, unfortunately, for safety reasons you can’t run with a child under the age of 15 in any circumstances.

  • CAN I RUN WITH A DOG?

    Dogs are not permitted on route.

  • I AM A WHEELCHAIR USER OR HAVE SPECIFIC ACCESS REQUIREMENTS, CAN I TAKE PART?

    Please note that due to the terrain of our trail races they are unsuitable for wheelchair. If you are to be aided around the course, by a guide runner, your guide runner must also be a registered participant in the event, however this entry is complimentary. Please submit an enquiry form with your registration ID to advise us of your specific requirements.

  • I AM A VISUALLY IMPAIRED RUNNER. CAN I TAKE PART?

    Yes! It is recommended a visually impaired participant takes part with a guide participant. Entry for a guide participants is complimentary. Please submit a ‘Contact Us’ form to advise us you need a free place for a guide participant

  • I'M INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING, WHAT IS INVOLVED?

    Hundreds of volunteers are needed at each event to ensure the day runs smoothly and everyone has an amazing time. Roles vary from route marshals and start/finish marshals to helping on welfare stations or in the baggage store. Please refer to our volunteer pages for more information.
