The Yorkshire Marathon is next up for Caroline on her road to recovery after finding herself suicidal in February.
Caroline Foster is aiming to strike yet another major achievement off her 101 bucket list this Yorkshire Marathon.
She will take on the 26.2 mile Yorkshire favourite on Sunday 14th October and take one more step towards recovery after she found herself suicidal in February this year.
Speaking to Run For All, Caroline said: “In February this year, I voluntarily admitted myself to residential psychiatric care, in order to try and avoid committing suicide.
“Looking to help, my friend suggested that I should write a bucket list of things I wanted to do before I died.
“Having a lot of time on my hands at that point I decided to give the idea a go. And by the end of the week, I had more or less finalised a list of 101 things I wanted to achieve.”
To date, Caroline has completed 18 of her challenges. For more on bucket list challenge, check out Caroline’s blog.
The Yorkshire Marathon is next up. And Caroline is likely to be joined by a number of runners raising awareness for mental health encouraging people to speak up about their mental health.
“I you are struggling, like I was, I encourage you to seek help. I have found that the Samaritans, CALM, NHS, Papyrus and MIND to do great work” said Catherine.
