The Yorkshire 10 Mile Opens for Entry

Entry is now open for the Asda Foundation Yorkshire 10 Mile which returns to the city of York on Sunday 14th October.

Thousands of runners will once again take to the streets of York as the popular Yorkshire 10 Mile returns on Sunday 14th October 2018.

Entry opened for the event at 12pm on Friday 23rd February 2018 and entries are likely to sell out fast.

The Yorkshire 10 Mile has sold out every year since its launch in 2013.

Part of our Yorkshire Marathon Series, the Yorkshire 10 Mile will take place on the same day as the full 26.2 mile Yorkshire Marathon.

The Yorkshire 10 Mile shares many of the highlights of the Yorkshire Marathon with the added bonus of only having to run 10 miles – often referred to as ‘the perfect racing distance’.

The race will begin in the centre of York and pass its various historic landmarks such as York Minster and the medieval City Walls.

The race will also travel out into the Yorkshire countryside where runners will be treated to scenic surroundings as they run down quaint country roads.

The Yorkshire 10 Mile is set to make a huge sum of money to benefit its numerous partner charities including The Jane Tomlinson Appeal, MacMillan, various local Children Hospices and many more deserving causes.

Sponsors of the Yorkshire 10 Mile, the Asda Foundation, have made all this possible. They are a charitable corporate foundation making independent grants throughout the UK.

Its aim is to ‘transform, communities’ improving lives for people and communities in the UK both now and in the future.
