Eight sessions of Get into GEAR will be provided for runners of all ages and abilities next year in preparation for the 2019 Asda Foundation GEAR 10K.
Get into GEAR training sessions are back to help runners of all ages and abilities prepare for next year’s Asda Foundation GEAR 10K on Sunday 5th May.
Eight weeks of Get Into GEAR sessions have been organised due to the popularity of last year. They will take place at Alive Leisure - Lynn Sport.
Dates for the training sessions are as followed:
These sessions are for 1hour between 7pm-8pm. Before your first session, can you please print out the form found here, complete it and hand it in at the session.
They will be run by local King’s Lynn running club, Ryston Runners, who have continuously supported the scheme. Their sessions aim to create a supportive atmosphere and encourage their runners to achieve personal goals.
The sessions will focus on the improvement of running form, endurance, mind-body coordination, motivation and metabolism. This will be supported by a series of interval training methods.
These training sessions will be provided free of charge – thanks to sponsors Bespak - will be brought to you by Ryston Runners. They will offer the local King’s Lynn community the opportunity to find new training buddies, improve their fitness and get into gear for the 2019 Asda Foundation GEAR 10K.

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors Bespak, all runners that attend over six of the eight sessions will receive a free gift as an extra incentive to clock up the miles.

The Bespak Mini GEAR is a 1.2K fun run that will take place on the same day as the 10K. It will offer runners, over the age of six, a chance to participate on Sunday 5th May.

The Asda Foundation GEAR 10K and Bespak Mini GEAR runs are organised by the not-for-profit organisation Run For All who continue the legacy of the late amateur athlete Jane Tomlinson who raised nearly £2m for charity whilst battling incurable cancer.
Runners are welcome to run for fun, a charity of their choice of one partner charities which so far include – East Anglia Children's Hospice, West Norfolk Mind, Benjamin Foundation and the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
