When Ade Okojibe first laced up his running shoes in 2020, he was going running three times a week just to clear his head. But running quickly became much more than a hobby, growing into a daily practise which transformed his wellbeing, his outlook on life and eventually, his career.
“Running has helped me not just physically, but mentally too,” Ade explains. “It has given me resilience, focus and connection with my community. It’s helped me overcome so much.”
Ade’s personal transformation inspired the launch of Keep Me Young, Ade’s wellness brand, built on integrity, passion, and a belief in natural health. But Ade did not stop there, as he also founded the Keep Me Young Run Club in Chapel Allerton.
The Run Club brings people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities together, and what started as a few regulars has since grown into a vibrant community, using running to build confidence, friendship and a sense of belonging.
In 2024, Ade ran the Leeds Abbey Dash 10K, an event that Run For All are proud to deliver for the first time in 2025. Crossing the finish line was a huge milestone; it was a moment that solidified his passion for encouraging others to challenge themselves and experience the joy of running.
“For me, Run For All events are more than a race,” he says. “It gives people something to work towards, a celebration to share with the community. Whether you are experienced or brand new to running, everyone belongs at the start line.”
Ade will be back for the 2025 Leeds Abbey Dash, continuing to encourage his club members, including those overcoming their own personal challenges to join him at the start line.
Looking ahead, Ade continues to grow Keep Me Young and the Keep Me Young Run Club with the same drive that running gave him back in 2020, showing that running can unlock not only personal health but new possibilities – whether in business, community or life.
