Sales and Marketing Manager


Full time, permanent

Salary: £28k to £34k, dependent on experience

Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All is one of the UK’s biggest charitable sports event companies, staging events including the Leeds 10K and York 10Ks, Leeds Half Marathon and the Yorkshire Marathon.

Run For All is looking for an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager with a genuine passion for sport and events, to lead its Leeds-based team.

As Sales and Marketing Manager, you will determine the annual sales and marketing plan and budget, through forecasting and developing sales quotas and income generation, analysing trends and results, establishing pricing strategies and monitoring competitors.

You will have a great understanding of what motivates people and be able to translate that knowledge into a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy. You will lead the team in developing and implementing creative, exciting and engaging campaigns, using a variety of channels, including traditional print and advertising, as well as digital and email marketing and social media.

A fresh-thinker with at least three years’ sales and marketing experience, you will also be skilled in reporting and analysing the success of your strategies and campaigns, ensuring high levels of return on investment.

You will be a lively, dynamic and results-focused professional who can help us stay ahead of our competitors by closely monitoring industry trends. You will work well under pressure and thrive in a challenging commercially driven environment.

A love of sport, preferably running, is desirable. Ideally, you will have a record of taking part in organised sporting events and have an understanding of the ‘runner experience’. You will possess excellent communication skills and be proficient in a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point and Excel.

With charity at our core, we are looking to employ someone who understands the unique ethos of and aims of the organisation. Applicants should be enthusiastic, hard working, flexible (the role will naturally require weekend working in events season) and have a positive attitude and a good sense of humour. You will need to own a car and have a full driving licence to be considered for this position.

Internal: Head of Communications, Digital Marketing Executive, Marketing Assistant, Sales and Partnerships Co-ordinator, Corporate and Sponsorship Manager, CEO, Events Managers, Charity Manager, Events Team.


Creative agency, search agency, media, sponsors, the general public, suppliers and contractors.

Main Responsibilities:


Qualifications: You will be educated to degree level. Ideally, you will be a graduate in marketing.  Additional marketing qualifications or evidence of continuous professional development is desirable.

Knowledge: You will have marketing and sales experience, ideally within in a similar industry. You will have a wide knowledge of marketing techniques, strategising, reporting and planning. You will also have a good understanding of digital marketing and social media. You will be fully conversant with a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office, Power Point, Word and Excel, content management and social media tools.
