Tracy sadly passed away on 13th November at Coventry Myton Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. Her family and friends, deeply grateful for the care she received, are now preparing to take on the Coventry Half Marathon on 19th April in her honour.
Moved by the compassion and support provided by Myton Hospice, Tracy’s loved ones hope their fundraising efforts will help ensure the charity can continue supporting other families during the most challenging moments of their lives.
Tracy’s daughter, Charlie, said: ‘The care my mum received at Myton Hospice was above and beyond anything we could have ever wised for as a family’.
Her brother-in-law added: ‘As tough as it was seeing Tracy unwell, I was overwhelmed by the care and support she – and all of us – received.’
Myton Hospice is a charity and not part of the NHS. Each year, it must raise £12.7 million of the £15.3 million required to deliver its vital services to the people of Coventry and Warwickshire. For Tracy’s family and friends, supporting Myton is not only a way to honour her memory, but also a heartfelt contribution to the future of a service that supports thousands of families every year.
One family member said:
“Myself, along with some of Tracy’s family and friends, are taking on this tough challenge of completing a half marathon to support this incredible cause and to honour the legendary woman Tracy was – and to help the thousands of families who will need Myton’s support in the future.”
