The York Mini and Junior Run sponsored by Xerox Business Solutions is a great way to get active this year!

Mini | 1.5KM | Age between 3 & 8. All children must run with a parent or guardian. |
Junior | 2.5KM | Ages between 9 & 14 |
Open to runners aged three and up, of all backgrounds and abilities, this popular local event is a fantastic day out for all the family.
We encourage children of all backgrounds and abilities to take part in the Fun Run, including those with disabilities and any other special considerations. Please get in touch so we can help you and them have the best experience.
All finishers will be rewarded with a goody bag and that all-important medal to show off to friends!
Important entry information.
Registering a young runner aged between 3 and 8 years old:
- The adult running must put another adults emergency contact details when asked during the registration process. Please do not enter your own information here.
Registering a young runner aged between 9 and 14 years old:
- Entries must be completed by a parent/guardian aged 18 years or over on behalf of the child.
- The adult must log in to their own account when registering their child. If you do not have an account, you can create one.
Enter with a peace of mind

For a small fee, this will give you insurance should you be unable to take part in the event. You can cancel your entry and receive a refund on your entry fee up to 48 hours before the event.
Important Note
Do not under any circumstances allow anybody else to run with a race number under your name.
Amongst other issues, this can create major problems for the medical team should they need to treat unknown runners. Anyone found to have done this will be disqualified.

Family Fund are the UK’s largest grant-making charity for families raising a disabled or seriously ill child on a low income. Family Fund believes that families raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people should have the same choices, quality of life, opportunities and aspirations as wider families.

Collecting your race number is the main thing to remember ahead of the big event. You can do this on event day. More details will be made available closer to event day.
Please bring safety pins with you as your race number will need to be attached to your t-shirt.

On the day Information
All you need to know
Parking
Parking for the Mini and Junior run will be available on Knavesmire Road, the same at the 10K – easily reached from across the city and with ample onsite free parking. Please take extra care when parking as this area will be busy with lots of excited runners!
Dedicated event parking will be held on the grounds by York Racecourse, located off Bishopthorpe Road. Signage will be in place on event day. Event parking will be available between 10am and 1pm.
Family support?
We're sure lots of fans are coming to support you! Please get them to head to the start/finish line so they can see you zoom past them and collect your finishers medal.
All runners are required to assemble on the start line for a warm up before the start of their race.
All Mini and Junior runners should head to the start line at 11.30am with the warm up beginning at 11.35am and the race beginning at 11.45am.
Baggage
There isn’t a baggage store for the Mini and Junior run so please leave your bag and extra clothes with your family and friends who will be cheering you on.
Warm Up
To help you feel ready and raring to go, we will be offering a fun warm-up!
Left Clothing
Please note that any clothing left anywhere on the start line will be donated to charity.
At the Finish
After you fly across the finish line, don’t forget to collect your goodies including that all important medal.
You will be directed to the collection point by our team of friendly volunteers where you’ll be able to meet back up with your parents and guardians. This is where you can show everyone your brand new, shiny medal!
Photos
Smile! The Marathon Photos team will be on course throughout the event to snap your picture.
Photographs can be purchased at marathonphotoslive.com. Should you not wish for your photo to be used in this way, please e-mail info@runforall.com prior to race day.
Keeping York green
We are committed to keeping York green and we understand the importance of doing our bit for the environment. Bins will be provided across the event site and we urge people to use the facilities provided.
