Run For All has changed a lot since it first began in 2006. What was first organised by the Tomlinson family, friends and volunteers has now grown into one of the UK's biggest not-for profit events company.
Whilst the size and number of events has grown the ethos behind Run For All is very much remains the same. We want to ensure our events are truly accessible for all and provide a fundraising vehicle for as many charities as possible.

Role: Events Coordinator, Technical
Location: Leeds
Permanent: 37.5hrs per week

Jane Tomlinson’s Run for All is one of the UK’s biggest not-for-profit sporting event companies, staging many high-profile mass participation events across the UK including the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, Yorkshire Marathon, Leeds, Sheffield, Coventry, Derby and Ipswich Half Marathons and Leeds Abbey Dash.
About the role
As an Events Coordinator you will work across the full portfolio of Run For All’s events to support the Events Manager in all stages of event delivery, from planning through to implementation, with a primary focus on Technical.
The Technical department is the primary contact for key external stakeholders ensuring the collation and distribution of key event documentation. The department has oversight of areas such as Health and Safety, Medical Provision, Radio Provision and Chip Timing.
Role Responsibilities:

Produce accurate and reflective Event Management Plans to be shared across all key internal and external stakeholders

Health and Safety documentation requested, received and validated across all contractors and activations, working closely with independent Health & Safety consultant to raise the standard and mitigate risk

Build and maintain relationships with emergency services, council and highways teams across the UK
-
Schedule and attend Multi agency meetings and Safety Advisory Groups, communicating actions through to delivery

Book event control room and coordinate location, WIFI access and timings, planning in external stakeholder attendance across medical, CCTV, transport and emergency services

Radio and communication readiness for Event Day

UKA licences requested and managed across the full portfolio

Working in Event Control as an Event Controller primarily, with exposure to other key roles on the Venue and Course

Lead on the production of event documentation, including; Event Control timelines, Event Control Briefings, contractor and staff briefings

Manage and coordinate Special Request requirements for all event participants

Collaborate with Event Coordinators to maintain the Run For All warehouse, with particular emphasis on quality checking of all equipment

Support the effective management of event budgets, with clear tracking of all costs and invoicing with understanding of wider budgets and opportunities

Deputise for Technical Events Manger in key internal and external meetings, planning conversations and event preparation

Review event performance and proactively mitigate any challenges for future events (lessons learnt)

The Role
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to work alongside the Head of Marketing and Communications and the Content, Performance & Insights Manager to develop, manage, implement and evaluate campaigns across our portfolio of events.
The successful candidate will lead our traditional and brand marketing activity, bringing our events and mission to life through brand campaigns, partner activations and community engagement.
This role focuses on developing strong campaign ideas and delivering them through offline channels, PR, partnerships, community engagement and real-world experiences, while overseeing the Run For All brand and ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
Working closely with the Content, Performance & Insights Manager, you’ll ensure that traditional marketing activity is fully aligned with digital execution, creating joined-up, impactful campaigns that inspire participation, drive event entries and strengthen brand affinity.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns for key events
• Develop campaign concepts, messaging and communications plans from insight through to execution
• Deliver traditional marketing activity including PR, events, partnerships, print and OOH
• Oversee and protect the Run For All brand across all offline channels and campaign activity
• Plan and deliver partner activations, working with internal teams and external partners to maximise impact

Run For All is one of the UK’s biggest not-for-profit sporting event companies, staging a large number of high-profile mass participation events including the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, York 10K, Leeds 10K, Sheffield Half Marathon and The Yorkshire Marathon in the North of England to Leicester 10K, Nottingham 10K, Coventry Half Marathon and Derby Half Marathon in the Midlands. Your role on the Event Support Team will directly contribute to Run For All’s purpose, which is to provide a fundraising vehicle for a vast amount of local and national charities through its events programme. - Route Marshal - The route marshal is a fantastic way to see the event and help create an electric atmosphere around the route, from lead runner to backmarker!
- Drink Station Marshal - Eventeers will be ready for the first runner and the last with that all-important drink of water whilst also shouting words of motivation and support.
- Baggage Marshal - Our Baggage Eventeers will greet participants both pre and post event as they drop off and collect their belongings at the Baggage Store.
- Finish Processing Marshal - Eventeers will be ready with that all-important medal, goody-bag and water to hand to every participant as they finish their race with a well-deserved congratulations. Eventeers here will also help channel participants into the ‘T-Shirt Collection’ and ‘No T-Shirt Collection’ based on their bib so is a great role to be vocal with!
- Race Office Marshal - Participants will come here to collect their Race Numbers pre-event where our Eventeers will be on hand to assist and give them a warm welcome and calm the pre-race nerves. This is a customer facing role so our Eventeers need to be friendly, approachable and chatty!
