The Leicester 10K is one of the region’s biggest and best-loved charity road runs! 

Participants of all abilities and ages are invited to take part, whether that be as part of fundraising efforts or for their own goal or reason.

Run For All continues to deliver a safe and secure environment for all participants. 

With a city centre start and finish, runners will set off from Jubilee Square before heading into the city centre and into the beautiful greenery of Victoria Park.  

The scenic landscape of the park will then weave runners through the University of Leicester before passing many of the city’s landmarks including the Leicester Museum & Art Gallery and Leicester Cathedral. Participants will then head back towards the city centre for the electric finish line on Jubilee Square.

Run For All encourages people of all abilities to take part in the Leicester 10K.

info Important Note

Do not under any circumstances allow anybody else to run with a race number under your name.
Amongst other issues, this can create major problems for the medical team should they need to treat unknown runners. Anyone found to have done this will be disqualified.

Race Number Information

The Leicester 10K is a race number collection-only event.

Participants who purchased an entry before Monday 19th February will be able to collect their race number from Abbey Sports and Leisure Centre from noon on Tuesday 20th February.

Participants who purchased an entry after Monday 19th February will be required to collect their race number on event day from 7am at the Race Office located in the Event Village. 

If you're unable to collect your race number at Abbey Sports, please be assured that you can collect your race number from 7am at the Race Office on event day.

All you need to know

Event Village

The bustling Event Village will be located on Jubilee Square.

To satisfy your pre and post-run fuel needs, a selection of tasty food and drink choices will be available to purchase.

There are also several bars and cafés in the area that will be sure to welcome spectators and participants and are often bursting with atmosphere after the event.

Our wonderful partner charities will also be located in the Event Village, so make sure you go say hi!

Baggage

Please leave time to drop your baggage at the Baggage Store, which will open in the Event Village at 7:00am. You will be able to retrieve your baggage from the same store after your run.

Please note that all bags must be the equivalent size to a small rucksack and security will be in place in order to conduct random bag searches.

If you’re planning to use the event Baggage Store, please ensure that your baggage tag is removed from your race number and securely attached to your bag ready for race day.

After the race. you are advised to make your way to the Baggage Store to reclaim your property before meeting up with your loved ones. Please collect your bags as soon as possible so that you can avoid the queues.

Fuel & Hydration

300 ml bottled water is available on the course and 500 ml will be available at the finish line.

Competitors are advised to ensure that they consider the effects of dehydration and drink plenty of fluids to compensate.

Please make use of the bins provided post water stations.

Toilets

Please only use the allocated toilets for this event located next to the Event Village and on the course.

Toilets on the course are located just before the 5K mark.

Run For All operates a zero-tolerance policy and any runners seen urinating anywhere other than the facilities provided will be disqualified.

Medical

Should you find you require medical assistance, personnel will be on hand to help at regular intervals on the course with fixed first aid stations located near the water stations.

In addition, there will be a first aid unit and recovery area located near the finish. There will also be roaming first aiders around the Event Village.

Left Clothing

Please note that any clothing left anywhere other than in the Baggage Store will be collected at the end of the race and donated to charity.

Massage

Get your post-event massage provided by Top Tier Physiotherapy Clinic.

Whether it's pre or post-race, the team will be located in the Event Village for all your physio and massage needs.

Race Day memento

Celebrate your incredible time and your fantastic achievements with some extra event day souvenirs.

Head to the event village on race day and visit Epic Etchings to get your finishers medal engraved and Personal Best Vests to order your own personalised finisher t-shirt print to help celebrate your achievements in style.

Photos

Smile! The Marathon Photos team will be on course throughout the event to snap your picture.

Results

All results will be available in the results section of the website soon after the end of the event.

However, keep in mind that it’s not all about times – you should be proud of yourself just for getting out there and getting active!

Keeping Leicester green

We are committed to keeping Leicester green and we understand the importance of doing our bit for the environment. Bins will be provided across the event site and we urge people to use the facilities provided.

Let’s work together to Keep Leicester green and encourage other runners to do the same.

Pacers

Our team of pacers, sponsored by Arla Protein have been organised on behalf of the Regional Event Ambassador for Park Run.

The team are looking forward to supporting you on your run. Each pacer will have a flag attached to them with finish times and will run at a steady pace. If you keep up with them, you’ll be able to achieve the time on the flag.
Our pacers will be pacing at five-minute intervals between sub-40 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes.

They’re all very friendly, so feel free to have a chat with them before the event, and be sure to say thanks once you’ve crossed the finish line!

Headphones on event day

As this is a closed-road event, you are welcome to wear headphones, but please make sure that you are aware of your surroundings all around the course.

If you wish to listen to music on your run, please make sure you can hear the marshals’ instructions, emergency vehicles and fellow competitors.
