Run For All has changed a lot since it first began in 2006. What was first organised by the Tomlinson family, friends and volunteers has now grown into one of the UK's biggest not-for profit events company. 

Whilst the size and number of events has grown the ethos behind Run For All is very much remains the same. We want to ensure our events are truly accessible for all and provide a fundraising vehicle for as many charities as possible.

Jane Tomlinson’s Run for All is one of the UK’s biggest not-for-profit sporting event companies, staging a large number of high-profile mass participation events across the UK including the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, Yorkshire Marathon, Leeds, York & Sheffield 10Ks, Leeds Half Marathon and Sheffield Half Marathon.

The successful candidate will be responsible for selling entries to a vast and diverse range of audiences wishing to purchase entries in the Run For All team challenges and charity entries.

The role will require a confident phone manner, as one of your primary tasks will be to contact companies and charities to sell packages to both new and existing partners. An awareness of the charity sector is preferred due to the nature of the role.

The successful applicant will also have strong interpersonal skills, inspire trust and be a convincing communicator, able to represent Run For All in front of a wide range of audiences.

You will also be required to carry out and manage a number of corporate and charity administrative tasks associated with the role on a daily basis including invoicing, entry system management and reporting in order to support corporate team managers entering the events and charity contacts managing their fundraisers.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be a lively, dynamic and results-focused professional with great commercial acumen and a desire to drive the business forward.

You will possess excellent communication skills and be proficient across the full range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point and Excel.

Applicants should be personable, confident, enthusiastic and hardworking, be flexible and have a positive attitude and a good sense of humour. You will need to own a car and have a full clean driving licence to be considered for this position.

You should expect to work a number of weekends and occasionally, out of hours, especially throughout the event season.

Main Responsibilities

  • Inputting charity entries and liaising with charities to ensure that enquiries are responded to in a timely and professional manner.
  • Administrative support for online entry system – issuing pins, setting up accounts and dealing with all charity, corporate and group entry queries.
  • Assisting the Marketing Manager with the marketing and sales of the corporate and team challenges for corporate clients, groups and organisations.
  • Using digital channels to promote Team Challenge and identifying other marketing opportunities to increase the number of teams entering.
  • Day to day management of Team Challenge entrants and non-partner charity entries from sales through to event day.
  • Planning the event day experience for Team Challenge, including booking facilities and catering requirements.
  • Assist in raising the profile of the Run For All brand within the corporate, commercial and charity sector.
  • Generate and supply weekly reports both internally and externally.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages –Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Excellent administration and organisation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Creative approach to problem solving
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with corporate teams and charities
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle a number of tasks at once and to consistently deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines
