Run For All

Marketing Manager (Digital focus)

Full time, permanent

Salary: £28k to £34k, dependent on experience

Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All is one of the UK’s biggest charitable sports event companies, staging events including the Leeds 10K and York 10K, Leeds Half Marathon and The Yorkshire Marathon.

Run For All is looking for an innovative and motivated individual with strategic marketing experience and a genuine passion for sport and events, to lead its Leeds-based team.

This role provides an opportunity for an ambitious individual to work at Senior Team level within an ambitious charitable events company.

As Marketing Manager, you will determine the annual sales and marketing plan and budget, through forecasting and developing sales quotas and income generation, analysing trends and results, establishing pricing strategies and monitoring competitors.

You will have a great understanding of what motivates people and be able to translate that knowledge into a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy. You will lead a small team in developing and implementing creative, exciting and engaging campaigns, using a variety of channels, including traditional print and advertising, as well as digital, email marketing and social media.

A fresh-thinker with at least three years’ sales and marketing experience, you will also be skilled in reporting and analysing the success of your strategies and campaigns, ensuring high levels of return on investment. Working across the full media mix, this role will have a special focus on digital marketing.

You will be a lively, dynamic and results-focused professional who can help us stay ahead of our competitors by closely monitoring industry trends. You will work well under pressure and thrive in a challenging commercially driven environment.

A love of sport, preferably running, is desirable. Ideally, you will have a record of taking part in organised sporting events and have an understanding of the ‘runner experience’. You will possess excellent communication skills and be proficient in a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point and Excel. HTML, CMS and database experience is a must.

With charity at our core, we are looking to employ someone who understands the unique ethos of and aims of the organisation. Applicants should be enthusiastic, hard working, flexible (the role will naturally require weekend working in events season) and have a positive attitude and a good sense of humour. You will need to own a car and have a full driving licence to be considered for this position.

Volunteer Junior Programmer

We’re looking for a volunteer junior programmer, ideally with knowledge of VBA or .net or equivalent, to help work on a number of projects. You’ll work to help analyse where we can improve our internal systems, devise solutions, write code, carry out tests and work to identify and resolve bugs and glitches. You’ll also document your work so there is a detailed record and operating instructions for future use.

You could be working on specific projects or assisting on daily tasks, depending on how much time you’re able to give.

Volunteer Admin Assistants - several roles

We're looking for volunteers to help with office-based tasks in the build up to our busy event season. You don't need to have experience - just a positive attitude and enthusiastic approach.

You'll be helping with a number of tasks which could include: taking and directing telephone calls; answering participant emails; packing and sorting race numbers and packs; and general admin support, such as the franking and posting of external mail.

Whether you can commit to a regular volunteering shift, or just want to join us on an ad-hoc basis, we'd love to hear from you.

Volunteering is a great way to get some experience for your CV or to give something back if you have a few hours to spare.

Through the Jane Tomlinson Appeal and Run For All events, more than £10m has been raised for charities big and small. With your help, we can do even more!
