The York Mini and Junior runs mean that the kids can get involved in this amazing day of running as well as adults! Please see below the distances on offer.

Run For All events aim to be inclusive for everyone, regardless of ability. So, if your child has any issues, mobility or otherwise, please get in touch with us prior to the race so we can help them have the best experience.
We have 100 free entries to give away to schools and registered groups in York. Entries will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis, so don't miss out on your chance to get involved. To secure your free entries, please fill out the below form and send it to info@runforall.com.

All Run For All Junior events now include official timing - so young runners can track their finish time and celebrate their achievement, while still enjoying the fun and friendly atmosphere of race day.
Whilst our junior events will still be all about fun, confidence and participation, adding the timing aspects adds an extra layer of excitement for those who want to see how they did on the day!

Important entry information.
Registering a young runner aged between 3 and 8 years old:
- The adult running must put another adults emergency contact details when asked during the registration process. Please do not enter your own information here.
Registering a young runner aged between 9 and 14 years old:
- Entries must be completed by a parent/guardian aged 18 years or over on behalf of the child.
- The adult must log in to their own account when registering their child. If you do not have an account, you can create one.
Enter with a peace of mind

For a small fee, this will give you insurance should you be unable to take part in the event. You can cancel your entry and receive a refund on your entry fee up to 48 hours before the event.
Important Note
Do not under any circumstances allow anybody else to run with a race number under your name.
Amongst other issues, this can create major problems for the medical team should they need to treat unknown runners. Anyone found to have done this will be disqualified.

Race Number Information
Please note that this is a collection only event.
Race number collections will be from Monday 27th July until Friday 31st July between 10:00-18:00 from:

Alternatively, you will be able to collect from our race office, which can be found on the Knavesmire on Saturday 1st August from 12:00-16:00 , or Sunday 2nd August from 7:30

All you need to know
At the Start and Finish
Please note that the start line for both events is located on the Knavesmire.
The Junior race will start at 12pm, with the Mini race starting at 12:30.
Once crossing the finish line, all mini and juniors are asked to collect their goodies including that all-important medal and a selection of goodies once they cross the finish line.
Participants will then be directed to the collection point by our team of friendly volunteers where they'll be able to meet up with their parents or guardians
Parking
Parking for the Mini and Junior run will be available on Knavesmire Road, easily reached from across the city and with ample onsite free parking. Please take extra care when parking as this area will be busy with lots of excited runners!
Dedicated event parking will be held on the grounds by York Racecourse, located off Bishopthorpe Road. Signage will be in place on event day. Event parking will be available between 10am and 1pm.
Support & spectators
Please get any family or friends who are coming to watch to head to the start/ finish line so they can see you zoom past them.
Baggage
There is not a baggage store for the Mini and Junior runs, so please leave any bags and extra clothes with any family and friends who will be cheering you on.
Warm Up
To help participants feel ready and raring to go, we will be delivering a warm-up on the start line. All runners are required to assemble on the start line for the warm-up before the race starts.
Left Clothing
Please note that any clothing left anywhere on the start line will be donated to charity.
Photos
The Marathon Photos team will be on course throughout the event to snap your picture. Photographs can be purchased at marathonphotoslive.com. Should you not wish for your photo to be used, please email info@runforall.com prior to event day.
Keeping York green
We are committed to keeping York green and we understand the importance of doing our bit for the environment. Bins will be provided across the event site and we urge people to use the facilities provided.

York has great motorway links to the M1, M62 and A1 (M), putting it within easy driving distance of all of the UK's major cities. Newcastle and Liverpool are less than two hours away, while London and Scotland are approximately four. Please ensure you allow ample time to travel to the event as traffic is likely.
If travelling by car, take a look at the below travel options and make sure to factor in walking time from there to the start line:
Make event day easier with Park & Ride from First Bus
To help ease traffic, save time and make your event day as stress-free as possible, First Bus will be operating a dedicated Park & Ride service for the Arla Protein York 10K. Avoid the hassle of city centre parking and head straight to Askham Bar Park & Ride, located just off the A64. From there, simply hop on a short, direct bus journey straight to The Knavesmire - just minutes from the start line.

Drop off & Pick up: Knavesmire Road/Mount Vale, YO24 1DJ
Buses start running: 07:45 and run every 5 minutes until 09:00
Return service: 10:40 and run every 5 minutes until 13:15
Journey time: 8 minutes
Walking time to the start line is approx. 5 minutes.
Ticket Price: Adult £3.90, up to 3 children under age of 16 go free with one paying adult.

Alternative parking:
Additional parking can be found at York Racecourse Car Park (YO23 1EX), but please note this car park is likely to get extremely busy and the First Bus Park & Ride service is recommended.

Please note: This car park is a 15-20 minute walk to the start line, so please leave plenty of time.
Pre-Race Opening Times : 06:30 - 09:00
Post-Race Opening Times : 10:00 - 13:30 (Gates locked at 13:30)
Access: Vehicles can only enter this car park from the A64 > Sim Balk Lane > Church Lane > Bishopthorpe Road. Please ensure you are in the right hand lane on Tadcaster Road to turn onto Sim Balk Lane.
Exiting the car park: All vehicles must exit to the right onto Bishopthorpe Road > Church Lane > Sim Balk Lane > All traffic must turn left. Please use the below lanes depending on direction of travel:
- Left Hand Lane: Leeds & York towards Fulford
- Right Hand Lane: York City Centre

Askham Bar Park and Ride
The Askham Bar Park and Ride service will be operational on event day from 09:30.
The service will take passengers along Tadcaster Road and drop them off just outside of Knavesmire Road. The service then continues into the city centre.

We advise all runners to get there as early as possible to leave plenty of time ahead of the run.

The start and finish area and Event Village are situated a 30-minute walk from the city centre, or a 20-minute walk from York Railway Station. Walkers can access the venue from any direction, irrespective of road closures.
