Terry Hindson will be running the Yorkshire Marathon for the 12th consecutive year and has many memories crossing the finish line each year.

When did you start running?
“Marathon running since 2003, aged 43, now on number 302."
What made you sign up for the first Yorkshire Marathon?
“As a born and bred Tyke from the North Riding it seemed the obvious and right thing to do."
What do you do the day before a marathon?
“Depends on the marathon, usually a short run, sometimes a rest."
What would be your piece of advice for first time marathon runners?
“Don't worry about times just take it easy and try to lap up the experience.”
What do you treat yourself with after a race?
“A long soak and sleep in the bath.”
How do you fuel yourself during a race?
“Water.”
What’s your must have running song?
“Anything by Enya - I have Irish ancestry/heritage, or Louis Armstrong's Wonderful World."
How does running added to your day to day life?
“It keeps me fit and sets goals to achieve.”
What’s your favourite Yorkshire Marathon memory?
“Easily running past the Minster, every time."
