After nearly 40-years of being organised by Age UK, Run For All is proud to be taking over the baton to deliver this much-loved event from 2025.
We’re committed to continuing this world-class event that so many have come to love, and we’re proud to deliver an unforgettable 10K experience.
Age UK will very much remain involved in the event as the lead partner charity and we will work together to encourage entrants to support this incredible cause.
The Leeds Abbey Dash has officially been selected as the England Athletics 10K Championship event; making it a key fixture on the national road racing calendar with a renewed focus on elite performance and mass participation.
Like all Run For All events, whether you’re running for a PB, fundraising for a cause close to your heart, or simply aiming to get round and enjoy the day, the Leeds Abbey Dash is the perfect event to end the year with.

Elite Entries
PLEASE NOTE: Elite applications are now closed.
Anyone who was successful and submitted their application prior to the 29th October deadline will be contacted w/c 10th November.
There will be an elite wave ahead of the main The Leeds Abbey Dash 10K - this will be limited and will require you to apply and submit evidence for your qualification.
Qualifying Wave Criteria:
Female - Sub 36:00 - 10KM (or sub 17:30 - 5KM)
Male - Sub 30:30 - 10KM (or sub 14:30 - 5KM)

Race Number Information
Race numbers will be posted out to you and should start arriving with you from Friday 14th November.
Anyone who does not receive their race number in the post by Friday 28th November, will be able to collect their race number from our Race Office on event weekend:
Friday 28th November, 11:00 - 18:00

Saturday 29th November, 09:00 - 18:00

Sunday 30th November, From 07:00

Your race number will indicate your starting wave and time which will be indicated by the colour of the race number:
Your wave correlates to your predicted finish time entered at point of registration. Participants can identify which wave they are by the background colour of their race number, as shown below:
At this stage it is not possible to change your race number. Event staff on race day will allow you to enter the starting pens of a later wave but you WILL NOT be allowed to move up to a quicker wave.
Please ensure you are familiar with your wave and start time and follow the directions of event staff on the day.
Have you changed your address since registering?
We are only able to change your address up to 6 weeks before the event takes place. If you are unable to collect your race number from the old address you can come to the Race Office across the event weekend to be reallocated a new number.
What if I'm coming from overseas?
Race numbers will not be posted to those participants who provided a postal address located outside of the UK as we can’t guarantee the safe delivery of the race number.
However, you will be able to collect your race number from the Race Office on the event weekend. Opening hours of the Race Office will be detailed on the website closer to the event.
Important Note
Do not under any circumstances allow anybody else to run with a race number under your name.
Amongst other issues, this can create major problems for the medical team should they need to treat unknown runners. Anyone found to have done this will be disqualified.

On the day Information
All you need to know

Please leave enough time pre-event to drop off your bag in the designated Baggage Area.
Please use the tear-off strip attached to your race number and tie it around the handle of your bag before checking it into the Baggage Area.
After the race you are advised to make your way to the Baggage Area to reclaim your property before meeting up with your loved ones. Please collect your bags as soon as possible so that you can avoid the queues.
Baggage trailers are located a short walk from the start/finish and are linked to your race number. Please ensure you use the correct baggage trailer noted below.
1-6,000 - Quebec Street
6,001 - 10,000 - Wellington Street
10,001 - 13,500 - Thirsk RowPlease be aware bag searches will be in operation and bags should be no bigger than a small rucksack. Suitcases, motor cycle helmets and keys will not able to be left at any baggage area.

Please only use the allocated toilets for this event, these will be located on Park Place and Northern Street. There will be plenty of toilets which you will be able to use pre or post-race.
Run For All operates a zero-tolerance policy and any runners seen urinating anywhere other than the facilities provided will be disqualified.

We will have a water station on course, where you will be able to pick up a 330ml bottle of water. To see the exact location of the water station, please refer to the route map. Water will also be available at the finish line.
Please make use of the bins provided post water station.

We’ll have friendly pacers on the course, sponsored by Arla Protein who can help you stick to your intended finish time. They’ll have flags attached to them with finish times so you can choose the best pace to suit you.

Should you find you require medical assistance, personnel will be on hand to help at regular intervals on the course with fixed first aid stations located near the water stations.
In addition, there will be a first aid unit located near the start and finish line. There will also be roaming first aiders around the start/finish.

It is important to note that all clothing discarded at the start of the race will be collected and donated. There will be specific points for you to discard your clothes at the start line of the race, these areas will be signposted.
Unfortunately, we are unable to keep any clothing that has been left in the starting area, unless dropped in the baggage store prior to the race.

All results will be available in the results section of the website soon after the end of the event.
However, keep in mind that it’s not all about times – you should be proud of yourself just for getting out there and getting active!

Your well-earned goody bag, medal and t-shirt, if you have purchased one, will be waiting for you at the finish line of the Abbey Dash! For safety reasons, we ask that you keep moving through finish processing as this is a busy area, and you can go show off your new medal to your loved ones.
If you purchased a finisher t-shirt during registration, your race number will have a sticker with your t-shirt size on it. Don't worry, you can still purchase finisher t-shirts from our Race Office after the event while stocks last.

Make the most of Leeds City Centre and support local businesses while you're in town, you can even pop to the Christmas Markets.
Several nearby cafes will also be open on the morning of the event, so you and your loved ones can grab a coffee and a bite to eat on event day!
Sustainablity
Keeping Leeds green
We are committed to keeping Leeds green and we understand the importance of doing our bit for the environment. Bins will be provided across the event site and we urge people to use the facilities provided.
It is important that we leave the course the way we found it. Recycling bins will be provided on course at each water station and we ask that you use them. If you want to hand on to your water beyond the provided bins, please pass any litter to your nearest marshal.
Let’s work together to Keep Leeds green and encourage other runners to do the same.
Give your trainers a new ‘lace of life’ with JogOn
Part ways with unwanted old trainers that you may have previously thrown out. Drop-off stations will be made readily available next to the Race Office, located in the Event Village on event day.

Headphones on event day
You may choose to wear bone conducting headphones as you make your way around the course.
We ask that volume is kept low to ensure you can hear the marshal's instructions, emergency vehicles and fellow competitors.

Please note that only bone conducting headphones may be worn during the race, and you may be disqualified if found to be using other headphones.
