One of Lincolnshire’s most celebrated running events is set to make its return on Sunday 12 April, as thousands of runners prepare to take on the much‑loved City of Lincoln 10K, delivered by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All.
A firm fixture in the region’s sporting calendar, the event brings together runners of all ages and abilities for a day rooted in community spirit, personal achievement, and vital charity fundraising.
The fast and flat 10K route showcases Lincoln at its best, guiding participants through historic streets and past many of the city’s most recognisable landmarks before a spectacular finish against the backdrop of the iconic Lincoln Cathedral. All finishers will receive a goody bag packed with post‑race treats and a commemorative medal celebrating their accomplishment.
With thousands taking part, the event is expected to be matched by an equally enthusiastic turnout of supporters. Music groups, running clubs, schools, volunteers, and spectators will line the route, creating a vibrant atmosphere and helping to deliver the unforgettable sense of celebration that the City of Lincoln 10K has become known for.
As with all Run For All events, the race will once again play a significant role in supporting charities across the region and beyond. Participants are encouraged to use their run to raise funds for a cause close to their heart or for one of this year’s partner charities: Acts, Carers First, Framework, Jane Tomlinson Appeal, Lincoln City Foundation, Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, Lincoln Students’ Union, Linkage, and Sophie’s Journey.
Tristan Batley-Kyle, Operations Director at Run For All, said: ‘We’re thrilled to see the City of Lincoln 10k return this year.
‘It’s a fantastic day that’s become a firm favourite in the region’s fundraising and sporting calendar.
‘We look forward to welcoming particpants of all ages and abilities, and encourage anyone not taking part to come along and support what promises to be a brilliant day.’
The City of Lincoln 10k is supported by City of Lincoln Council, BBC Radio Lincolnshire, Arla Protein, Up & Running, Coopah, Shokz, Gradwell, Marathon Photos, Jog On and Applied Nutrition.
