The Coventry Running Festival – featuring both a half marathon and a 10K – will return to the city on Sunday 19th April, following high anticipation from runners and supporters across the region.
Organised by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All, the event will once again welcome participants of all ages and abilities. Whether aiming for a personal best, running with friends, or simply enjoying being part of a major community occasion, runners can expect an electric atmosphere and a day filled with energy, encouragement and celebration. With thousands expected to take part, this year’s festival is also set to provide a significant fundraising boost for charities across Coventry and beyond.
Half marathon participants will set off at 9.00am in the heart of the city centre before heading out into the scenic Warwickshire countryside. The route is known for its enthusiastic support and lively atmosphere, offering an unforgettable experience for both runners and spectators.
Now in its second year, the 10K will begin at 9:30am and follows a route similar to the half marathon. Runners will pass several key city landmarks, including The Wave Waterpark and Moseley Avenue Park, before finishing in front of the stunning Coventry Cathedral.
All finishers will receive a well‑deserved goody bag filled with post‑run treats, along with a bespoke medal to commemorate their achievement.
With charity at the heart of Run For All, the festival is expected to raise thousands of pounds for good causes. Participants are encouraged to run for a charity of their choice or support one of the event’s partner charities, including: Back & Forth, Cyrenians, Feed the Hungry, Jane Tomlinson Appeal, Myton Hospice, University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire Charity, Zoe’s Place, and Pawprints Dog Rescue.
Tristan Batley-Kyle, Operations Director at Run For All said, “We are excited to be returning to Coventry for the 2026 Running Festival, bringing together both the 10K and half marathon for a day that welcomes runners of all ages and abilities.
Not only does the event bring the community together, but it also helps raise vital funds for local and national charities.
We encourage anyone considering taking part to get involved, and we look forward to welcoming all runners and spectators on the day.”
