Runners of all ages and abilities are invited to lace up and hit the streets as the much-loved Nottingham 10k returns this Sunday, 8 March. With places still available, it’s the perfect chance to chase a PB, enjoy a run with friends, or simply soak up some fresh air and community spirit.
Early in both the Run For All season and the wider running calendar, the event offers an ideal opportunity to kick-start spring training. The route is set to impress too, beginning in the iconic Old Market Square and finishing within the historic grounds of Nottingham Castle – one of the few sporting events to do so, making it a fantastic photo finish.
Setting off at 9.00am, participants will head north from the city centre along Mansfield Road before reaching Nottingham Girls’ High School. The route then guides runners onto Forest Road East and through Church Rock Cemetery before sweeping back towards the city.
Participants will pass Motorpoint Nottingham Arena and follow Canal Street before looping through the picturesque Nottingham Park Estate, known for its striking Victorian architecture. From there, it’s on to the historic castle grounds for an unforgettable finish.
Participants can expect enthusiastic support from start to finish, with Nottingham’s crowds cheering runners along every step. And the celebrations don’t stop at the finish line – finishers will be rewarded with a packed goody bag, post-run treats, and a heard-earned medal to mark the occasion.
With charity at the heart of Run For All, participants are encouraged to fundraise either for a cause close to their heart or one of the event’s partner charities; Base 51, Framework, the Jane Tomlinson Appeal, Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, Maggie’s, Mansfield Cat Rescue, Radford Care Group and Stand Against MND. The event is expected to raise tens of thousands of pounds for charity.
Places are still available, and people of all abilities are encouraged to take part.
Tristan Batley-Kyle, Operations Director at Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All, said:
‘We’re delighted to welcome the Nottingham 10k back to the city – it’s always a standout event, bringing together fantastic fundraising efforts with the joy of getting people active.
‘The atmosphere is always brilliant, thanks to the warm support Nottingham shows year after year.
‘If you haven’t signed up yet, I really encourage you to do so – whether you’re chasing a PB, ticking off a personal goal, or simply enjoying a day outdoors with the community. It promises to be a fantastic event while raising vital funds for charity.’
The Nottingham 10k is sponsored by Nottingham City Council, Arla Protein, Up & Running, Applied Nutrition, Coopah, Shokz, Gradwell, Marathon Photos Live, The Nottingham Park Estate, and Jog On.
