Family Celebrates 81st Birthday at Yorkshire 10 Mile

Many runners will be crossing their own milestones at the Altra Yorkshire Marathon Festival on Sunday 19th October, but for Ann, Claire and Cedric, they will be celebrating a very special milestone.

Ann is 77-years-old, and Cedric will be celebrating his 81st birthday on the day of the Altra Yorkshire 10 Mile, which they will be running together with their daughter Claire.

It’s a family of runners, with Ann and Cedric having run the London Marathon twice, as well as the Great North Run and the Yorkshire 10 Mile several times before. They run together in their hometown of Whitby three times a week, and Claire is extremely proud to be running alongside them.

Sunday will be a day focused on celebrations, rather than finish times, and no birthday is complete without cake – and Cedric will be crossing the finish line on his 81st birthday to celebrations of medals and birthday cake!
