Oliver is running this year's Altra Yorkshire Marathon to mark 10 years since he left Riverdale Grange Hospital in Sheffield where he was treated during his recovery from anorexia.
His recovery began in 2015 after being diagnosed.
"At first, I found it incredibly hard to open up about my struggles, especially as a man, when I felt there was still a stigma around eating disorders."
Once diagnosed, while Oliver received community support, his condition continued to decline.
"My thoughts were consumed by eating less and exercising more."
It was when his weight dropped to a dangerously low level that he was offered a place at Riverdale Grange. Oliver spent 140 days in hospital, and received amazing support from a team of doctors, nurses, and therapists, who helped to rebuild his relationships with food and exercise.
But recovery isn't a straight road...
"I don't think I'll ever say that I am fully recovered, but today I feel 99.99% free from anorexia - that's something I never thought I'd be able to say. I'm deeply grateful to my friends and loved ones, who have stood by me through the darkest times."
Since leaving hospital, Oliver has taken on several fundraisers for Beat, the UKs eating disorder charity, but none as challenging at the Yorkshire Marathon.
"Beat continues to support those affected by eating disorders, as well as their families and friends, helping them to end the pain and suffering caused by these illnesses."
