Honouring Sophie: Megan’s Lincoln 10k Challenge for Sophie’s Journey

This weekend, Megan will be lacing up her running shoes for the Lincoln 10k, taking on the challenge in support of Sophie’s Journey – a charity incredibly close to her heart.

Megan’s connection to the cause is deeply personal. As a child, she had the joy and privilege of dancing alongside Sophie, who she remembers as “kind, full of life, and bringing so much joy to everyone around her.”

Sophie sadly lost her life to cancer, but her legacy continues to shine through the remarkable work of Sophie’s Journey – a charity founded by her mum, Stacey, to support children and families facing the unimaginable. The charity helps families create precious memories during the most difficult times, whether through special experiences or the use of dedicated holiday homes where families can spend meaningful time together. Megan describes the charity’s impact as “truly life‑changing.”

Today, Sophie’s Journey is working towards an inspiring goal: raising £250,000 to open Lincolnshire’s first palliative holiday home, giving even more families the chance to make lasting memories with their children. Megan is proud to be running in support of this incredible mission.
