James is running the Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon this weekend, having taken up running earlier this year, this will be his first running event, he'll also be fundraising for Myeloma UK.
“I turned 50-years-old in March, and the last bit of exercise was at the age of 18. And with a desk job... I was noticing it!”
James took up running at the start of 2025, building up over time, and found a real passion for it. He decided to really push himself, and set himself a challenge by entering a running event and what better than the Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon?
James wanted to do something for Myeloma UK, a charity close to his heart, and he will be running for the charity on Sunday 21st September.
“I have a close family member who is living with the disease and has undergone countless procedures and major operations and treatments.”
Myeloma UK undertake research and provide fantastic support to anyone affected by Myeloma, which is a type of blood cancer.
“I will be wearing their colours this coming Sunday and proud to be raising much needed funds. Thank you for your support. #TogetherWeAreTheCure”
