GEAR 10K & Mini GEAR Postponed to 2021

The following message was sent to participants in the 2020 GEAR 10K and Mini GEAR on 28th July 2020. 

Dear Entrant,

Firstly we want to wish you, your friends and family all the best. We hope you are keeping safe and well during these challenging times.

We would also like to thank you for your continued support and patience over the past few months. As you know, the GEAR 10K and Mini GEAR were both postponed earlier this year and were moved to 25th October 2020.

At the time of the postponement, we had great hopes that we would be able to host these events later this year. Like many of you, we at Run For All, along with the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk and Alive West Norfolk, have been monitoring the situation on a daily basis and seeking guidance from the UK Government as to the next steps with regards to the potential for events to take place later this year.

Given the current guidance, we feel it very unlikely that these events will be able to go ahead this year due to the social distancing that would need to be implemented and the limitations of the current route and assembly area. 

Therefore, we are unfortunately writing to advise you that due to COVID-19, the GEAR 10K and Bespak Mini GEAR has been postponed to Sunday 2nd May 2021.

Whilst we appreciate this news won’t come as a complete surprise, like you, we are disappointed that our return to King’s Lynn will have to wait another year but the safety of you the entrants has to come first.

All entries will be transferred to the new date in 2021 so please mark Sunday 2nd May in your diary.

Can we take this opportunity to ask you to also consider supporting one of the events official partner charities when you take to the start line next year. Over the years these events have raised a significant sum of money for charity and due to the postponements of these events we know many charities will be struggling to continue to deliver vital services due to lack of funds. Your support now, can really make a difference.

We really hope we will see you all on the start line next year, but in the meantime, we would ask you to stay safe, stay well and keep active.

Unfortunately, we are not in a position to be able to offer refunds.  This is as per our standard terms and conditions.
