11 March 2020
As we get closer to Sunday 19th April we know there will be a number of you getting excited about the Hull Running Festival and putting those months of training into action.
We are sure there are many of you closely following the news and questioning whether, due to COVID-19 the Hull Running Festival will go ahead. We want to reassure you that following the UK Government’s current advice that all mass event should go ahead, we have every intention of still hosting the event next month.
Our team are in close consultation with both Hull City Council and the University of Hull regarding the event and will ensure any appropriate information and guidance is shared with you, our runners.
Should the UK Government take the decision to cancel mass events, we will implement our contingency plan which will see the Hull Running Festival move to a date in either July or August 2020, which we will confirm in due course.
We are busy working on these plans and confirming a contingency date with our key location partners, so should an announcement be made by the UK Government in the coming weeks, we are prepared and can communicate the new date to you, our entrants.
Can we take this opportunity to thank you, our community, for your support and assure you that we will update you as soon as we can with any developments.
