Entries for the much-loved McCain Yorkshire Coast events are set to open on 1 June, with the 10K, 5K, and Fun Run returning for 2026.
Taking place on Sunday 11 October, the event promises a memorable race-day experience, combining a stunning coastal route with a lively atmosphere. Open to runners of all ages and abilities, the range of distances ensures there is something for everyone – whether taking on a first race or aiming for a new personal best.
A firm fixture in the autumn racing calendar, the McCain Yorkshire Coast continues to grow in popularity, with last year marking its debut within the Run For All portfolio. Demand is expected to be high once again, with a limited number of places available. Organisers are encouraging participants to be ready to secure their place when entries go live at 07:00 on 1 June.
Runners taking on the 10K will start and finish at Scarborough SPA, following a scenic coastal route around South Bay, past the harbour, around the headland and into North Bay. The course then passes through the Open-Air Theatre before returning to the SPA for a memorable finish.
Whether running as part of a club, fundraising for a cause close to their heart, or simply enjoying the day, participants can expect a welcoming and rewarding experience. Reflecting Run For All’s commitment to inclusivity, entrants of all abilities are encouraged to walk, jog, or run the course.
By taking part, runners will also support both sustainability and fundraising initiatives. Continuing established event traditions, all finishers will receive a distinctive slate medal, while a tree will be planted on their behalf in partnership with McCain Foods. The event also offers an opportunity to support charitable causes, with runners encouraged to fundraise for a charity of their choice or one of the event’s official partners, helping to make a positive impact in local communities.
Andrew Hoff, Managing Director, McCain GB&I, said: ‘Scarborough has been home to McCain GB for over 50 years, and as a proud local employer, we’re delighted to host the much-loved McCain Yorkshire Coast races once again with Run for All. It’s always a great day and we encourage participants of all ages and abilities to join in. The event offers a brilliant opportunity to enjoy and celebrate our stunning coastline while supporting causes that make a real difference. Don’t forget to secure your spot!’
Tristan Batley-Kyle, Director of Operations at Run For All, said: ‘We are proud to deliver the McCain Yorkshire Coast for a second year. It’s a fantastic community event and one we are delighted to be part of.
