The countdown is on for Sheffield 10K as thousands prepare to hit the streets

Participants of all ages and abilities are preparing to take to the streets of Yorkshire's Steel City as the Sheffield 10K returns later this month, welcoming thousands of runners for a celebration of community, fitness and fundraising.

Starting at 9.30am, entrants will begin and end their journey on Arundel Gate, following a scenic route past some of Sheffield's most iconic landmarks, including Endcliffe Park, Bingham Park and the Botanical Gardens, before heading back into the city centre for the much-anticipated finish line.

As with all Run For All events, the Sheffield 10K is expected to raise thousands of pounds for charity. The event's official partner charities are Framework, Jane Tomlinson Appeal, Paces, Rain Rescue, Roundabout, Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity, Sheffield Young Carers, Sheffield Futures, St Luke's and Sheffield Cats Shelter.

Runners can also look forward to the unrivalled support for which Sheffield has become renowned. Thousands of spectators are expected to line the route, creating a vibrant atmosphere and providing encouragement from start to finish.

Adding to the excitement will be the Sheffield 10K Corporate Challenge, which sees teams from local businesses compete for the title of Corporate Challenge Champions. The initiative promotes teamwork, camaraderie and positive physical and mental wellbeing in the workplace.

The popular Mini and Junior events will also return, giving younger runners the opportunity to be part of the action. Chip timing will now be included in the Junior events, adding an extra layer of excitement for participants.

With places still available, people of all ages and abilities are being encouraged to sign up and be part of one of South Yorkshire's most inspiring and inclusive running events.
