The Nottingham 10K returns to the city centre! 

A firm favourite in the city's running calendar, the 10K is back, bigger and better for 2024. 

Returning with an exciting new and improved city centre route, this year's Nottingham 10K will start in Old Market Square and finish inside the grounds of Nottingham Castle. 

Participants of all abilities and ages are invited to take part, whether that be as part of fundraising efforts or for their own goal or reason.

Run For All continues to deliver a safe and secure environment for all participants.

After starting in Old Market Square; the 10K route will then head north of the city centre, travelling along Mansfield Road before reaching Nottingham Girls High School.

Once there, the route will take participants along Forest Road East and onto Church Rock Cemetery before travelling south back towards Nottingham City Centre. Runners will then reach Motorpoint Nottingham Arena before looping around Nottingham’s Park Estate. Participants will then reach the historic finish line inside Nottingham Castle!

info Important Note

Do not under any circumstances allow anybody else to run with a race number under your name.
Amongst other issues, this can create major problems for the medical team should they need to treat unknown runners. Anyone found to have done this will be disqualified.

Race Number Information

The Nottingham 10K is a race number collection-only event.

Participants who purchased an entry before Monday 26th February will be able to collect their race number from Up and Running from noon on Wednesday 28th February.

Monday – Friday = 09:30 – 18:00

Saturday = 09:00 – 16:00

Sunday = 10:30 – 16:30

Participants who purchased an entry after Monday 28th February will be required to collect their race number on event day from 7am at the Race Office located in the Event Village. 

If you're unable to collect your race number at Up & Running, please be assured that you can also collect your race number from 7am at the Race Office on event day.

Event Village

The bustling Event Village will be located inside the ground of Nottingham Castle, on Castle Square

To satisfy your pre and post-run fuel needs, a selection of tasty food and drink choices will be available to purchase.

There are also several bars and cafés in the area that will be sure to welcome spectators and participants and are often bursting with atmosphere after the event.

Our wonderful partner charities will also be located in the Event Village, so make sure you go say hi!


Please leave time to drop off your baggage pre-race.

The Baggage Store will be located on Old Market Square, next to the start line. Please note that the cut-off time to drop off your bag will be 8.45 am.

You will be able to collect your baggage post-race in the Event Village, located inside the ground of the castle.

All bags must be the equivalent size to a small rucksack and security will be in place to conduct random bag searches.

If you’re planning to use the event Baggage Store, please ensure that your baggage tag is removed from your race number and securely attached to your bag ready for race day.

After the race. you are advised to reclaim your property as soon as possible before meeting up with your loved ones. Please collect your bags as soon as possible so that you can avoid the queues.

Fuel & Hydration

300 ml bottled water is available on the course and 500 ml will be available at the finish line.

Competitors are advised to ensure that they consider the effects of dehydration and drink plenty of fluids to compensate.

Please make use of the bins provided post water stations.


Please only use the allocated toilets for this event located in Old Market Square, the Event Village and on the course.

Toilets on the course are located just before the 5K mark.

Run For All operates a zero-tolerance policy and any runners seen urinating anywhere other than the facilities provided will be disqualified.


Should you find you require medical assistance, personnel will be on hand to help at regular intervals on the course with fixed first aid stations located near the water stations.

In addition, there will be a first aid unit and recovery area located near the start and finish line. There will also be roaming first aiders around the Event Village.

Left Clothing

Please note that any clothing left anywhere other than in the Baggage Store will be collected at the end of the race and donated to charity.

Medal Engraving

For a small fee, you will be able to have your finisher medal engraved by Epic Etchings!

The team will be based in the Event Village so make sure you go check them out.


Get your post-event massage provided by the University of Lincoln

The team will be located in the Event Village.


Smile! The Marathon Photos team will be on course throughout the event to snap your picture.

All results will be available in the results section of the website soon after the end of the event.

However, keep in mind that it’s not all about times – you should be proud of yourself just for getting out there and getting active!

Keeping Nottingham 10K green

We are committed to keeping Nottingham green and we understand the importance of doing our bit for the environment. Bins will be provided across the event site and we urge people to use the facilities provided.

Let’s work together to Keep Leicester green and encourage other runners to do the same.

Spectator Tickets

Race day spectator tickets are now on sale. 

Featuring a finish line inside the grounds of Nottingham Castle, all spectators must purchase a spectator ticket to access the finish line. 

The gates will open at 9.00 am, with the winner expected to cross the finish line at approximately 9.30 am.  

Please note that the start line is located in Old Market Square, roughly a 10-minute walk from the castle. 

Spectators are limited to four tickets per transaction.

Headphones on event day

As this is a closed-road event, you are welcome to wear headphones, but please make sure that you are aware of your surroundings all around the course.

If you wish to listen to music on your run, please make sure you can hear the marshals’ instructions, emergency vehicles and fellow competitors.

Our team of pacers, sponsored by Arla Protein have been organised on behalf of the Long Eaton Running Club

The team are looking forward to supporting you on your run. Each pacer will have a flag attached to them with finish times and will run at a steady pace. If you keep up with them, you’ll be able to achieve the time on the flag.
Our pacers will be pacing at five-minute intervals between sub-40 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes.

They’re all very friendly, so feel free to have a chat with them before the event, and be sure to say thanks once you’ve crossed the finish line!
