Event information
The ever-popular and well established McCain Yorkshire Coast 10K will once again be organized by Run For All for the second year. With the ethos of delivering accessible events, we are working with Scarborough Athletics Club to encourage participants of all ages and abilities to take part in order to promote inclusivity in the running community.
Starting and finishing at the Scarborough SPA, runners can enjoy the scenic coastal views as they embark round South Bay, past the harbor, round the headland and into North Bay, passing iconic landmarks such as Scarborough Castle and the Freddie Gilroy sculpture, before running through the Open Air Theatre to return to the SPA.

Sustainablity
Keeping Scarborough green
Recycling bins will be provided on course at each water station - we ask that you please use this to do help us do our bit for the environment. If you want to hold on to your water beyond the provided bins, please pass any litter to your nearest marshal when finished.
The medals for this event are made from sustainable slate, and our finisher t-shirts are made from 100% recyclable material.
We are in partnership with JogOn to help reduce the environmental impact that large running events can have. By working with JogOn, we help to reduce the waste of running shoes that end up in landfill every year by giving them a new life. Trainers are either reused by giving them to those in need, or shredded and their remains used for other purposes.
Drop off stations will be made readily available throughout the Event Village for you to drop off any old or unwanted trainers so they can be given a new lease of life.
We encourage our participants to travel sustainably where possible by taking public transport or car sharing to reduce traffic emissions.
Give your trainers a new ‘lace of life’ with JogOn
Part ways with unwanted old trainers that you may have previously thrown out. Drop-off stations will be made readily available next to the Race Office, located in the Event Village on event day.
