Event information
The RAM 5 Mile is one of the newest additions to the Run For All calendar. This is an event for runners of all ages and abilities, providing an even greater boost for charities and a fun and friendly way to inspire more people to get active.
The 5-mile distance features the same start and finish as Ramathon and will set off from Iron Gate. It will take runners on the same route as the half marathon distance, running through the city centre for the first 2 miles. Shortly after 2 miles, runners will then make their way towards Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium and head back towards the city centre, finishing where the journey began at Iron Gate.
Entry
Entrants must be 15 years or older on event day.
Run For All encourages people of all abilities to take part in the Leicester 10K.

For a small fee, this will give you insurance should you be unable to take part in the event. You can cancel your entry and receive a refund on your entry fee up to 48 hours before the event.

Run For All appreciates diaries do change, so please note that you do have the option to transfer to another event. This event must fall in the same calendar year and a small transfer fee will be applied.
To transfer to another event, simply login to your Active account and select this option.
Please bear in mind that this option can only be actioned up to 6 weeks before the event takes place.

Important Note
Do not under any circumstances allow anybody else to run with a race number under your name.
Amongst other issues, this can create major problems for the medical team should they need to treat unknown runners. Anyone found to have done this will be disqualified.

All you need to know
Event Village
The bustling Event Village will be located on Market Place.
To satisfy your pre and post-run fuel needs, a selection of tasty food and drink choices will be available to purchase.
There are also several bars and cafés in the area that will be sure to welcome spectators and participants and are often bursting with atmosphere after the event.
Our wonderful partner charities will also be located in the Event Village, so make sure you go say hi!
Baggage
Please leave time to drop your baggage at the Baggage Store, which will open in the Event Village at 7:30am. You will be able to retrieve your baggage from the same store after your run.
Please note that all bags must be the equivalent size to a small rucksack and security will be in place in order to conduct random bag searches.
If you’re planning to use the event Baggage Store, please ensure that your baggage tag is removed from your race number and securely attached to your bag ready for race day.
After the race. you are advised to make your way to the Baggage Store to reclaim your property before meeting up with your loved ones. Please collect your bags as soon as possible so that you can avoid the queues.
Fuel & Hydration
300 ml bottled water is available on the course and 500 ml will be available at the finish line.

Competitors are advised to ensure that they consider the effects of dehydration and drink plenty of fluids to compensate.
Please make use of the bins provided post water stations.
Toilets
Please only use the allocated toilets for this event located next to the Event Village and on the course.
Toilets on the course are located just before the 5K mark.
Run For All operates a zero-tolerance policy and any runners seen urinating anywhere other than the facilities provided will be disqualified.
Medical
Should you find you require medical assistance, personnel will be on hand to help at regular intervals on the course with fixed first aid stations located near the water stations.
In addition, there will be a first aid unit and recovery area located near the finish. There will also be roaming first aiders around the Event Village.
Left Clothing
Please note that any clothing left anywhere other than in the Baggage Store will be collected at the end of the race and donated to charity.
Massage
Get your post-event massage provided by Top Tier Physiotherapy Clinic.
Whether it's pre or post-race, the team will be located in the Event Village for all your physio and massage needs.
Race Day memento
Celebrate your incredible time and your fantastic achievements with some extra event day souvenirs.

Photos
Smile! The Marathon Photos team will be on course throughout the event to snap your picture.

Results
All results will be available in the results section of the website soon after the end of the event.
However, keep in mind that it’s not all about times – you should be proud of yourself just for getting out there and getting active!
