Event information

Introducing the Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon, a brand NEW event for Run For All.

Taking place on Sunday 11th September, the race will start and finish at Portman Road Stadium - home to Ipswich Town FC.

You will see runners heading down Duke Street, through Ipswich Waterfront and then along Cliff Lane. Continuing around the River Orwell, you will head to Wherstead Road, back along Grafton Way before reaching the big finish at the stadium.

We are so excited to bring our first event to the county of Suffolk, and we already can’t wait to see thousands of you reach your goals while raising huge amounts of cash for such deserving charities within the local community and beyond.

See it as a new challenge, sign up for fun or run in a group, regardless of your goal or reason the crowds will be out in full force to cheer you on and the atmosphere will be terrific as the town of Ipswich comes alive for the day.

So if you’re looking for a new challenge in the town of Ipswich, what’s stopping you?

Sign up for this fantastic new event today!

Training

Training

Preparing for a marathon is hard work, but luckily Suffolk’s fantastic running community is here to help!

Take part in a weekly parkrun – there are 14 to choose from across Suffolk. This is a free, timed social run that takes place every Saturday morning. Parkrun is a great way to get active in a low-pressure way with other runners from your local community.

And if you’re looking for a training race, the Ipswich Twilight 10K couldn’t come at a more perfect time. On Friday 15th July, take in the beauty of the waterfront while testing your fitness and enjoying a vibrant race day atmosphere.

SHOKZ – approved headphones for RUN FOR ALL events

Using bone conduction technology award winning SHOKZ (formerly AfterShokz) deliver stereophonic sound through your cheekbones to your inner ear.

This means you can enjoy your music and still hear everything around you including traffic, emergency vehicles and other warning noises as well as race instructions from marshals and fellow competitors -potentially preventing accidents caused by traditional headphones and earbuds that block out these sounds.

Exclusively approved for use by UK Athletics. Official Headphone Partners of England, Scottish, Welsh Athletics and Athletics Northern Ireland.

15% discount offer.

There is a 15% discount offer for all Run for All entrants. To receive this discount, entrants must purchase SHOKZ headphones via Up & Running and use a specific code. To receive this discount code, please contact our admin team via our contact us form here.
