Give your trainers a new ‘lace of life’ with JogOn

Check out our brand-new partnership with JogOn!

We are inviting you to part ways with unwanted old trainers that you may have previously thrown out. Drop-off stations will be made readily available next to the Race Office, located in the Event Village on the Knavesmire.

Trainers will then be sent onto the JogOn HQ, ready to be passed on for a new lease of life and redistributed to those who need them most. Where possible, the JogOn Again scheme enables the reuse of unwanted shoes by giving them to those in need, through distribution by partners in eleven hubs around the world. Where reuse is not an option for the shoes they are shredded, and their remains are reused for other purposes.

To find out more about this fantastic initiative, please visit their website below:

Keeping Sheffield green

We are committed to keeping Sheffield green and we understand the importance of doing our bit for the environment. Bins will be provided across the event site and we urge people to use the facilities provided.

Let’s work together to Keep Sheffield green and encourage other runners to do the same.

The team are looking forward to supporting you on your run. Each pacer will have a flag attached to them with finish times and will run at a steady pace. If you keep up with them, you’ll be able to achieve the time on the flag.
Our team of pacers on the day will be pacing at 5-minute intervals between 1hr 20mins and 2hrs 30mins.

They’re all very friendly, so feel free to have a chat with them before the event, and be sure to say thanks once you’ve crossed the finish line!
