The Jane Tomlinson Appeal was established by the late Jane Tomlinson CBE. We support a wide range of charities across the North and the Midlands to improve the lives of children and the lives of people who are affected by cancer.

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. We provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care. Cancer affects us all. We can all help. We are Macmillan.

Children come from all over the country to see our hospital’s specialists and we work hard to fund elements that the NHS does not cover. The money raised through donations buys life-saving equipment, funds vital research and treatment and helps us create a comfortable, engaging environment for our patients. We’ll never stop striving to make it better.”

Sheffield Hospitals Charity is the official NHS charity that helps patients being treated for almost every condition across all the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals sites. The Charity’s core mission is to enhance the care and treatment of patients using our hospitals by raising funds and making grants to support areas beyond the scope of NHS funding.

We care for people aged 18 and above throughout Sheffield who have terminal illnesses. We aim to control their symptoms, alleviate pain, and give them the best possible quality of life – all free of charge.

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, cares for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions, in our hospice and in family homes. Our support services includes end of life treatment and care, counselling, and much more.  It costs more than £4m to keep our doors open. We receive around 10% of our funding from government sources.

Recovery from human trafficking is an ongoing process.  We know this because we are the first charity in the UK to provide long-term support for survivors of human trafficking once they leave the safe house.  Through one-to-one casework, befriending, community activities, trauma therapy and house renovations, we empower survivors to move towards living independently in the community.

Cavendish Cancer Care is a Sheffield charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with cancer. We believe no one should face cancer alone, we provide emotional and physical support through counselling and complementary therapies. Our services are provided free of charge, relying on donations from supporters and help from volunteers.

Age UK Sheffield is a completely local charity, working only within the Sheffield city boundary. We are the only organisation entirely dedicated to working holistically to provide information, advice, advocacy and services to people aged 50 and over in Sheffield, to maximise their ability to lead a fulfilled later life. In 2016/17 we helped 3,896 people with recorded casework, bringing £2.6m in previously unclaimed benefits into the pockets of older people in Sheffield.

Sheffield Futures offer a range of services aimed at young people to help them with every aspect of their lives. We support them in schools and youth clubs and offer a helping hand when times are hard. We encourage them to have their say on the matters that effect them, work to protect them from risk and encourage them to live a positive and productive life.
