Valerie is taking on the Leicester 10K

Valerie will be taking on the Leicester 10K on Sunday 2^nd March 2025.

Valerie is currently fundraising for Together Against Cancer.

Together Against Cancer support cancer patients and carers. They help patients and carers by providing knowledge and tools to empower them to control their physical and mental health. They offer free cancer support services, complimentary therapies, events and workshops.

Valerie is personal to Together Against Cancer as she lost her mum when she was 15 years old due to cancer. She was only 50 years old.

As Valerie is approaching 50 herself, she has realised how short her life was.

This impacted her mental health when she turned 30 years old. After finding Together Against Cancer, they helped her through it and led her on a path of improvement. Valerie is now fitter and stronger than ever. The Leicester 10K will be a challenge but she will have the memories of those individuals that didn’t make it and thoughts of those that still needs help.

All the funds that Valerie makes will go towards paying for more therapies available at the centre.
