To help make your journey to the start line as stress-free and as simple as possible, we are pleased to offer a Park and Run service on the day of the event

*Please take note that the bus journey from Elvington Airfield to the Event Village will take up to 20 minutes. The walk from the Event Village to the start line could take up to 10 minutes.

Park & Run Green Route

A Park & Run service transferring runners and non-runners from Elvington Airfield* (off the A64 at Grimston Bar, post code YO41 4AU) to the Event Village and back. Tickets MUST be booked in advance – cars can park for free and a return coach transport is available. Runners will be given priority on services before 8.30am. Please arrive in good time!

*Please take note that the last bus will leave the University for Elvington at 5pm.

Spectator Bus Service (Blue Route)

A specific service taking spectators from the Event Village to marathon spectator areas at Stamford Bridge and Dunnington. Tickets allow holders to hop-on-hop-off at their leisure.

park & Run Gold Route

This Gold ticket allows travel on both Green & Blue routes as well as regular marathon city centre 'express' shuttle bus services from York Railway Station (city wall side, Stand J) to the University of York. Gold tickets allow unlimited travel across all 3 routes but MUST be booked in advance. A family gold ticket (2 adults, 2 children aged 5 to 16 years) will also be available to purchase.

Children aged under 5 travel for free.

*Please note Elvington Airfield is a dog free site.

 

 

*Please note that the last bus leaves the University to Elvington at 5pm

MARATHON CITY CENTRE 'EXPRESS' SHUTTLE BUS

If you're parking, getting dropped off or staying in York, you can take advantage of the regular Marathon city centre shuttle bus services which will be operational between York Railway Station and the event village at the University of York. Starting at 07.00am with a bus every few minutes all day, runners will be given priority to board buses before 8.30am. This service is included if you purchased a Gold Ticket.

Marathon City Centre Shuttle bus tickets will be available to purchase from the bus driver on the day.
